Poker's Sit & Go Tournament

A "Sit & Go" tournament composes of 8 to 9 players. Other sites have 10 table players; how many players there are to compete at the poker table depends on where you play. Being included in a "Sit & Go" tournament is like being included in the final table of a typical live tournament. The good thing about "Sit & Go" is that you only need to beat at least 6 or 7 opponents to get in.

"Sit & Go" organizers usually award the top three players of the tournament. The payouts are the following: First place will get 50 percent. Second place will be given 30 percent, and the third position will get 20 percent.

Online sites collect an entry fee for those who want to join the tournament. Once you are signed in you are taken to the table at once. This is why "Sit & Go" is a "fast" tournament. A busy site of online poker will only take a few minutes before the seats are filled. Tournaments run continuously, and there are various tournaments going on, respectively.

How to win in a "Sit & Go" tournament? Be patient. The error some players make is that they play too many games at once - if you do this, you likely will lose. All you need to do is sit back, relax, and watch other players get kicked out of the game. After some time, you will notice that there are only 5 players left at the table. And now it will be easier for you, because you will only need to beat 3 of them to get in.

If you are not in the game, you must still watch the play, so you can be aware which player is doing good and which player is losing. This will help you in your tournament later on.

Now the tournament is down to 4 or 5 players. The game is beginning to get tight. Make sure that the other players are forced to sense that they're playing with a smart player. Know what you're doing!

Now you are in, only 3 players left. If you are in the "chip-leader" position you should try to raise with all the hands you play; if you are at the "button" let the "blinds" battle with the other opponents.

At last you made it to the final 2. This time you have to play aggressively. You can't yield or hesitate. You should loosen up your game play. You need one Ace or a King or even a small pair.

Just always remember to be patient in playing in a "Sit & Go" Poker Tournament. Patience is a virtue that can take you to the top.
